HBO have given the go-ahead for production of a pilot for A Game of Thrones. The TV series has been mooted for a year and a half or so, but this is the first real sign that they might actually do it.

It’s co-written by the guy who co-wrote Troy (oh, that might not be good), by GRRM himself (who, lest we forget, wrote for Beauty and the Beast. Y’know, the Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman TV show…), and by some guy I’ve never heard of. Which is worrying. I mean, we all hate Some Guy…
