Candleston? :D

I don’t think much of the Welsh policeman’s accent, though – very unconvincing…

Here’s a really nice bit of 3D Flash – Tomas Eriksson has an interactive spider crawling across a map:

“In a world…”

Four days ago, the world of cinema changed completely.

Don LaFontaine died.

He’s been involved with more films than anyone else I can think of.

Don’t know who he is? You’ve seen one or two of his films, I’ll bet. Actually, probably ten or twenty. Or more. Even if you haven’t seen many films in your life.

In fact, if you’re a child of the 70s or 80s, almost every film you saw on the screen in the cinema was associated with Don LaFontaine.

You probably wouldn’t recognise his face. But you’d definitely recognise his voice.

“In a world where movie trailers would not be movie trailers without baritone voiceovers…”

BBC: Film trailer voice-over king dies.

Bow down before the chin!

HttpFox

HttpFox is a fantastic extension for Firefox that acts as a proxy to your HTTP requests and responses, capturing them and showing in detail what’s happening between the server and the client.

Absolutely invaluable for developing server applications (I’m currently working on a Flex front-end to PHP back-end). Highly recommended!

Jack Steel and the Starblade

For those who have missed the buzz – Jack Steel and the Starblade has been launched today as a podcast series.

It’s written and acted by a bunch of people we know It’s a Trap in Norwich. Who may have also come up with the concept of ‘the Claw’, House GryphonDwarf, and sundry other entertainments over the years…

Give it a listen. :-)
